In other words, in practice, PIS helps to supplement workers' income, functioning as an annual salary bonus for those who meet the required criteria.

Who is entitled to PIS 2025?

Certainly, to be entitled to the PIS 2025 salary bonus, the worker must meet the following requirements:

  • PIS/PASEP registration for at least five years: the worker must have been enrolled in the program since at least 2020.
  • Average remuneration of up to two minimum wages: during the base year considered (2023), the worker's average monthly salary cannot exceed two minimum wages in force during the period.
  • Paid work for at least 30 days: the worker must have worked with a signed employment contract for at least 30 days, consecutively or not, in 2024.
  • Data updated in RAIS/eSocial: the employee's information must be correctly reported by the employer in the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS) or in eSocial.

What is the value of PIS 2025?

In any case, the value of the PIS salary bonus varies according to the number of months worked in the base year.

In other words, the more months you worked, the higher the benefit amount will be.

In fact, to make it clearer, the calculation works like this: each month worked is equivalent to 1/12 of the minimum wage in force in 2025.

For example, if the minimum wage in 2025 is R$ 1,518.00 and you worked for six months in 2023, the calculation will be as follows:

The PIS 2025 Value is = (Minimum Wage ÷ 12) × Number of months worked
Divide the PIS Value = (R$ 1,518.00 ÷ 12) × 6
PIS value = R$ 126.50 × 6
PIS value = R$ 759.00

In this case, you would be entitled to R$ 759.00 in salary bonus.

However, it is important to remember that periods equal to or greater than 15 days are counted as a full month for calculating the benefit.

When do payments start in 2025?

In fact, the federal government annually establishes the PIS payment schedule, which varies according to the worker's month of birth.

Thus, the payment of the PIS/Pasep salary bonus began this Monday (17/02) for those born in January.

In addition, other workers will receive the benefit throughout the year, with deposits taking place until August 15th.
